If you want something to disappear into on a cold day, start with the longline, open-front chunky knit cardigan styles — cosy without being bulky, and long enough to double as a light coat over jeans. If you want a cardigan that reads more considered, for the office or for dinner, the button-front and V-neck styles in cable-knit or ribbed finishes sit closer to the body and layer well under a coat.
